This includes overseeing the acquisition, organization, and maintenance of both physical and digital collections. This involves cataloging, shelving, and ensuring the library's collection is easily accessible and well-maintained. Librarians create and implement various programs and events, such as storytimes, author visits, and workshops, to engage the community and promote literacy. They manage online databases, e-book archives, and other digital resources to ensure efficient access to information. In some roles, librarians may supervise library assistants or other staff, delegating tasks and providing guidance. Librarians play a key role in educating users on how to effectively find, evaluate, and use information, including digital resources.
