Job Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a School Counselor at Johnson Grammar School, LB Nagar, located in Hyderabad. The School Counselor will provide guidance and support to students in their academic, emotional, and social development. Key responsibilities include conducting individual and group counseling sessions, assisting students with career planning, addressing behavioral and mental health concerns, and providing resources to promote a positive learning environment. Collaboration with teachers, parents, and school administration to support student well-being is also a critical aspect of the role.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Student Counseling and Career Counseling practices to guide and support students effectively. Comprehensive knowledge and skills in Counseling and Psychology for addressing emotional and behavioral needs. Understanding of Mental Health concepts to identify and respond to student challenges empathetically and effectively. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with students, parents, and staff. Relevant experience in a similar role, particularly working with school-age children, is highly desirable. Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Educational Counseling, or a related field is preferred. Passion for student development and creating a positive and inclusive school environment.
