The Centre Head serves as the overall in-charge of the school centre, responsible for its day-to-day administration, academic operations, staff coordination, parent communication, and student welfare. The role combines leadership, management, and public-relations responsibilities to ensure the smooth functioning and growth of the institution in line with its vision and policies.
Oversee daily school operations including academic schedules, attendance, logistics, and maintenance.
Ensure proper functioning of all departments -- academics, housekeeping, transport, accounts, and security.
Coordinate with the management on infrastructure requirements and compliance matters (CBSE/State Board/Local Body).
Maintain all statutory records, files, and registers.
Monitor safety, hygiene, and discipline across the campus.
2. Academic Coordination
Work closely with the Principal, Vice-Principals, and coordinators to implement academic plans and ensure curriculum delivery.
Supervise lesson planning, timetables, and classroom management.
Ensure that teaching standards, assessments, and student progress reports are maintained and timely communicated.
3. Staff Supervision & HR
Manage the staff roster, attendance, and leave approvals.
Conduct staff meetings, performance reviews, and professional development sessions.
Support recruitment, onboarding, and induction of new teachers and non-teaching staff.
Foster a positive, collaborative work culture within the team.
4. Parent & Public Relations
Serve as the first point of contact for parents regarding concerns, feedback, and suggestions.
Organize parent-teacher meetings, orientation programs, and school events.
Represent the school in community or promotional events and ensure strong brand image and trust.
5. Financial & Resource Management
Monitor daily collections, petty cash, and fee-related documentation in coordination with the accounts department.
Ensure cost-effective management of resources and budget utilization.
Support marketing and admissions initiatives as directed by the Director/Principal.
6. Compliance & Reporting
Ensure adherence to all CBSE/NEP/affiliation norms and local government regulations.
Maintain all records for audits, inspections, and renewals.
Prepare periodic reports on academics, finance, and operations for submission to management.
Qualifications
Graduate/Postgraduate in Education, Management, or related field.
Minimum 5-8 years of experience in school administration or educational management.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, ERP tools, and administrative documentation.
