Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated SCADA & MES Engineer to Design, Develop, and Maintain SCADA & MES systems and Digitalization solutions for industrial processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SCADA & MES Systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Designing

SCADA & MES systems

including databases and database interfaces, data analytics & reporting, scripting (VB, python, etc.). Guide the IoT team in

Integrating Systems

, communication protocols (Modbus, DNP3, MQTT, etc.), and data acquisition systems. Ensure proper

Cybersecurity

measures and

Network Architecture

are implemented. Responsible for

System Architecture design, HMI screen design, Alarm/Event configuration, and third party communications

. Develop testing, commissioning, and handover procedures. Provide

Documentation

, Training, and Technical support during the development and post-deployment phases. Liaise with third-party vendors, consultants, or authorities as needed. Understanding of back-end computing infrastructure used in manufacturing (computer hardware, virtualization, OS's, networking, databases, etc.) is a plus. Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.

Requirements:

SCADA Systems:

Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering. 3 to 10 years of Experience in System Integration, Digitalization, SCADA or MES application development. Candidates with experience in the Automotive, Non Automotive, Food & Beverage or life science Manufacturing plant projects are preferred Hands on experience in

Designing SCADA systems including databases and database interfaces, data analytics & reporting, scripting (VB, python, SQL etc.)

and general programming Requires strong fluency in one of the following SCADA platforms:

Ignition or Aveva Wonderware.

Strong SQL skills are a plus. Preferred

Ignition Certification (Core or Gold).

Experience in

VMware, Hyper- V (Virtualization tools), Cloud (amazon, google, azure), IoT edge., Linux OS

. Requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

MES Systems:

3-10 years of experience in .NET (C#) development with Database (MS/PL/SQL, stored procedures). Strong expertise in

MES/MOM

(Manufacturing Operations Management) systems and industrial communication protocols (e.g.,

OPC UA

). Proficient in full-stack development with hands-on experience in SCADA/HMI integration. Proven, hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying

custom MES applications

from the ground up using the

.Net framework and C#.

Deep experience in both back-end and front-end development, including an understanding of modern web technologies for user interfaces. Strong proficiency in database design and development, including writing efficient PL/SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and optimizing queries for performance. Experience in operational support is crucial, including debugging custom .Net code, troubleshooting system performance, and resolving user-reported issues in a production environment. Experience in small enhancement work, such as adding new features, modifying existing reports, or integrating new data sources to improve system usability and efficiency. Sound knowledge of industrial communication protocols like OPC UA, enabling seamless integration with PLCs, SCADA, and other shop floor equipment. Experience in integrating custom solutions with

ERP & Quality systems

using middleware technologies. Familiarity with the concepts of MOM and Historian for data collection and analysis. Experience with cloud platforms like

Azure or AWS for MES

deployments. Knowledge of other MES/MOM platforms.
