The role:

In this role you will design, engineer, develop, document, integrate, test, commission, and support SCADA, DMS or related Automation solutions for electrical networks of our clients utilizing the skills, tools, and processes.

Key Accountabilities:

• To design, engineer, develop, document, integrate, test, commission, and support SCADA, DMS or related Automation solutions for electrical networks of our clients utilizing the skills, tools, and processes.
• Develop, implement, test and troubleshoot SCADA/DMS Databases and HMI utilizing the experience with COPA-DATA Zenon, Alstom/Areva, ABB Micro SCADA, Siemens, ETAP platforms.
• Develop, implement, test, and troubleshoot Communication systems utilizing the experience of IP networking, UDP/TCP/IP, switching and routing, firewalls and gateways, GPRS/EDGE/3G/4G modems etc
• Co-ordinate and execute FAT, provide validation support and customer training and ensure compliance to project requirements
• Conduct and supervise field installation of new or retrofit equipment and prepare instructional installation documents for clients and project teams
• Prepare, Co-ordinate and execute SAT, commission SCADA/DMS system to the satisfaction of client and provide on-site customer training and ensure compliance to project requirements.

Responsibilities of the Engineer \xe2\x80\x93 SCADA Systems include:

1. Sales support with specification analysis and develop of offer proposals.

2. Working collaboratively with other engineers, operation engineers, purchasers, and other internal staff

3. Providing advice and consultancy support for purchasing equipment

4. Testing, maintaining, and modifying existing SCADA/DMS Automation systems for service support

5. Analyzing data and presenting findings in written reports

6. Project management within cost and time constrained environments

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Graduate in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or equivalent

Minimum 5+ years working experience in similar industry

Job-Specific Skills:

Essential strengths:

• Extensive knowledge of COPA-DATA Zenon- and ABB Micro-SCADA databases.
• Experience with Communications devices such as modems, Radios, Repeaters, GSM, GPRS, Gateway, Routers, Firewalls, Ethernet, and OFC.
• Experience of communications protocols such as DNP3, IEC60870-5-101/104/IEC61850, MODBUS Serial and TCP-IP
• Experience of RTU\xe2\x80\x99s, IED\xe2\x80\x99s and PLC\xe2\x80\x99s system.
• Knowledge of selecting components used in RTU/Control cabinet like, power supplies, UPS, batteries, GSM/GPRS/3G/4G Modems, Radio modems, interposing relays, MCBs, various types of terminals/connectors
• Experience of dealing with suppliers of electromechanical parts, bought-out products/systems for resolving issues or for providing technical support from procurement to commissioning stages
• Thorough knowledge of MS Project and MS Office, Visio, and CAD applications
• Possess adequate and advance experience in the design of SCADA/DMS/ADMS/OMS systems.

Desirable strengths:

• Knowledge of MV & LV Distribution Switchgear and Substation equipment
• Experience in Relay/IED configuration software is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge on protection functions
• Knowledge of Database systems and storage platforms, such SQL, Linux, Adobe, etc
• Programming languages such as IEC 61131-3, C/C++, VB, java, HTML, etc.
• Experience in cubicle engineering and manufacturing tools/configurators/CAD-systems
• Electromechanical Engineering and design of Server rack, RTU or similar control cabinets, preparation of GA, BoM, Wiring drawings
• Knowledge of standards applicable RTU/Control cabinets used in electrical industry
• Experience of PLM/document management systems such as Teamcenter etc.
• Experience in ADMS & OMS System and analyzing data and presenting findings in written reports
• Assists in defining the process for execution of engineering activities related to all types of instrumentation and controls to identify the need for specialty assistance.
• Reviews/comments on electrical engineering control system drawings like location layout drawings, control room layout drawings, control schematic diagram-control and logic diagram for SCADA System equipment.
• Experience of project/task planning, with knowledge of project management tools
