Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled

IEC Expert

with a background in

Urban or Environmental Planning

to contribute to IEC and outreach activities under the

Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban)

.
The candidate will be responsible for implementing awareness initiatives, coordinating with stakeholders, and supporting urban sanitation planning efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Support and implement

IEC (Information, Education, and Communication)

activities under SBM (Urban). Design and execute

awareness and behavior change campaigns

related to sanitation and waste management. Coordinate with

ULBs, government departments, and local communities

for planning and outreach initiatives. Assist in

developing urban sanitation and waste management strategies

aligned with SBM (U) objectives. Prepare

reports, presentations, and documentation

for project tracking and stakeholder communication. Ensure project activities comply with

SBM (Urban) guidelines and environmental standards

. Contribute to workshops, meetings, and training programs related to the mission.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

Master's Degree in

Urban Planning

,

Environmental Planning

, or a related discipline (M.Plan preferred).

Experience:

2-4 years of professional experience in

urban/environmental planning or IEC-related work

. Prior experience working with

Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban)

or similar

urban development projects

is desirable.

Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of

urban sanitation and waste management frameworks

. Excellent

communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagement

skills. Knowledge of

IEC tools

,

community mobilization

, and

participatory planning

approaches. Proficiency in

report preparation, data analysis, and presentation development

. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary environment. Culturally sensitive and adaptable to diverse project settings.
