Role Description

• Engineer is responsible for managing or performing work across multiple areas of the bank's overall IT Platform/Infrastructure including analysis, development, and administration
• You'll be a seasoned software engineer with 5+ years of experience, joining a team of enthusiastic individuals striving to innovate, design, and build solutions that meet comprehensive requirements. You'll be familiar with SDLC and Agile practices, able to translate requirements into technical solutions while communicating effectively both within and outside your team. You'll have strong development skills, be familiar with IDEs and development toolsets, and contribute through code reviews to identify inaccuracies efficiently. Additionally, you'll mentor team members, help others build solutions, and serve as a role model with potential exposure to team leadership.

Your key responsibilities
Responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive, high-performance web applications using UI frameworks.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and prototypes into functional interfaces.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Implement reusable components and maintain clean, modular code following best practices.
• Integrate front-end components with RESTful APIs and back-end services.
• Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and debugging to ensure quality and reliability.
• Stay updated with emerging front-end technologies and frameworks to enhance application performance.
• Work closely with product owners and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions on time.

Your skills and experience
Must Have

• 5-7 years of hands-on experience in UI development usage of RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Angular (latest versions) and React.js frameworks.
• Expertise in state management (e.g., Redux, NgRx).
• Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON data handling.
• Familiarity with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Proficient in version control systems (Git).
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices.
• Ability to write unit tests using frameworks like Jest, Karma, or Jasmine.
• Proven experience in performance tuning and optimization of large applications
• Hands-on experience automated testing tools.
• Experience with Docker, OpenShift, or Kubernetes for containerized deployments.
• Strong understanding of authentication and authorization concepts, OAUTH2, Spring security, API Management.
• Experience on cloud native hosting resources (OpenShift, GCP GKE, Cloud Run Functions, Networking VPCs)
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools such a Maven, GitHub Actions.
• Basic understanding of Unix/Linux commands.
• Good understanding of Swagger, and JSON.

Desirable

• Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal and organization skills. Team player, with strong collaboration skills and ability to communicate at all levels. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of Agile Practices

• Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or relevant technology & science
