Introduction

The founding of Metropolitan dates to as early as 1898 and Momentum traces its roots to being established in 1966. Momentum Metropolitan Holdings was formed from the merger of Metropolitan and Momentum, two sizeable and diverse insurance-based financial services companies in South Africa and was listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange on 1 December 2010.

Aditya Birla Health Insurance Company Limited, a joint venture with Aditya Birla Capital Limited, was incorporated in 2015 and was our first expansion into India.

Having experienced India first-hand as a hub of both talent and opportunity, we set up Momentum Metropolitan Services in 2017, a wholly-owned Mumbai-based global in-house centre to leverage IT, ITES and Business support services to all our businesses worldwide.
Role Purpose

The incumbent is responsible for software engineering for new and existing products and works with the application support and project teams to ensure development conforms to performance optimization and interoperability
standards and requirements. Should be able to design, develop, test, and implement solutions using Sapiens
eMerge running in a mainframe environment.
Requirements

Total Experience :

• 7+ years

Relevant Experience:

• 5+ years into Sapiens eMerge development experience is mandatory.

• Experience in SQL COBOL will be advantageous.

Duties & Responsibilities

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/KRAS/KPIS:

• Analyzes, Designs, Code, debug and document Sapiens eMerge-based solutions, including interface components, graphical screens, reports and data objects/services.

• Plan: Assist solution architects in translating requirements into technical specifications and data models for all assigned work efforts.

• Implement: Design, code, test, and implement complex emerge-based solutions; develop appropriate documentation according to established standards for all assigned projects and work efforts.

• Track: Periodically meet with the project team to the report on the status of work efforts & assess project requirements and the impact of change requests on project delivery timeline for all assigned projects.

Mandatory Skills:

• 5+ years into Sapiens eMerge development experience is mandatory.

• Experience in SQL COBOL will be advantageous.
