The Vended Application Expert provides expertise across all major functions in their area(s) of the business and delivers product features utilizing vended software, particularly ERP applications, by applying knowledge of the application's functionality and client business processes. The role creates technical and process designs and configures vendor software for the highly complex new or existing enterprise-wide and business-unit applications and maintenance efforts. The VAA Expert knows vendor feature roadmaps and capabilities and leverages developer groups and support processes to gain insight and provide direction.

Key Responsibilities



In partnership with the business groups and technical teams, provide knowledge and support for resolving technology issues in multiple areas of the business; acknowledged as a subject matter expert in multiple processes and applications and can represent Allstate in external discussions Create the functional design, leveraging moderate technical skills, to address highly complex business processes or issues or to address the requirements of a set of product features Configure or develop within vendor software; identify applicable new vendor release features. Leverage vendor defect resolution procedures and developer groups to validate approach and resolve issues. Develop overall product planning by contributing to/creating stories for highly complex features in areas of responsibility, including guiding the story development for other team members who may be learning Organize, lead and finalize feature review sessions for complex business issues/requirements and document resulting decisions; provide coaching to newer team members on their features and delivery Support the planning, conduct, and review of module and integration testing Manage and drive resolution of the issues and blockers for assigned features and product stories Provide training for other team members and users; accountable for developing team bench strength Use knowledge of integrated requirements to evaluate proposed software products in line with strategic corporate and vendor direction Lead end-to-end implementation of SAP RI module, including customizing treaty and facultative reinsurance processes. Configure RI-specific functionalities such as ceded and assumed reinsurance, premium calculations, claims handling, and accounting integration. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, actuarial, underwriting) to align SAP RI solutions with business needs. Conduct workshops with stakeholders to validate requirements and propose best practices. Provide post-implementation support, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system performance. Stay updated on SAP enhancements and recommend upgrades or improvements.

Technical Expertise:

Strong hands-on experience in SAP RI module configuration and customization. Knowledge of SAP PaPM, FS-CD, FI/CO integration, and insurance industry processes (preferred)
