Job Title
SAP Senior PP Consultant - S/4HANA
Experience
8-12 years of SAP PP experience
Minimum 1-2 end-to-end S/4HANA PP implementations
Role Summary
The SAP Senior PP Consultant will lead the design, configuration, and rollout of Production Planning processes on SAP S/4HANA, working closely with business stakeholders across manufacturing, supply planning, and operations. The role demands deep PP configuration expertise, cross-module integration knowledge, and the ability to drive complex manufacturing transformations.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SAP PP implementations on S/4HANA

• Design and configure core PP processes:

• Demand Management & PIRs

• Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)

• MRP / MRP Live configuration

• Capacity Planning & Scheduling

• Production Orders & Process Orders

• Drive MRP optimization:

• Planning strategies (Make-to-Stock, Make-to-Order, Planning with Final Assembly)

• Lot sizing, safety stock, lead times

• Exception handling and performance tuning in MRP Live

• Configure and manage Master Data:

• Material Master (MRP views)

• BOMs, Routings, Production Versions

• Work Centers & Capacity models

• Work closely with cross-functional teams:

• MM (Procurement & inventory)

• SD (Demand, ATP, delivery integration)

• QM (In-process & GR inspection)

• FI/CO (Order costing, WIP, variances)

• Support PP-DS integration (embedded PP-DS preferred)

• Lead business workshops, solution design sessions, and fit-gap analysis

• Support UAT, cutover planning, data migration, and post-go-live stabilization

• Mentor junior consultants and review functional specifications

Required Skills & Expertise
SAP PP Functional

• Strong hands-on configuration experience in:

• SAP PP on S/4HANA

• MRP Live, Capacity Planning, Production Orders

• Experience in discrete and/or process manufacturing

• Solid understanding of production costing and variance analysis

• SAP PP / S/4HANA certification

S/4HANA & Advanced Planning

• Experience with:

• Embedded PP-DS on S/4HANA (preferred)

• Advanced ATP (aATP) - good to have

• Knowledge of Fiori apps for manufacturing and planning

• Exposure to Clean Core principles and S/4HANA best practices

Good to Have

• Experience with global rollouts or multi-plant setups

• Exposure to SAP IBP integration (Demand / Response)

• Experience in CPG, Pharma, Manufacturing, or Chemicals

• Agile or Activate methodology experience

Soft Skills

• Strong business communication and stakeholder management

• Ability to translate manufacturing requirements into scalable SAP solutions

• Experience working independently in client-facing roles

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
