The SAP PP professional is responsible for implementing, configuring, and optimizing the SAP Production Planning module to streamline manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient resource utilization and production schedules. This position involves gathering requirements, overseeing system enhancements, collaborating with stakeholders, and integrating PP with other SAP modules.
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Minimum 3-6 years of experience with SAP PP; preference for candidates with 5+ years including full-cycle implementation experience.
Hands-on experience in manufacturing environments (discrete, process, etc.) and solid understanding of production planning concepts.
SAP PP certification or relevant SAP ERP certifications is highly desirable.
Prior project coordination or leadership roles in SAP PP implementations will be an advantage.

Technical Skills
Expertise in SAP PP functionalities: Master Production Scheduling (MPS), Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Capacity Planning, and Production Order Management.
Configuration and customization of SAP PP according to business needs, including integration with modules like MM (Materials Management), QM (Quality Management), and SD (Sales and Distribution).
Data analysis and reporting using SAP tools such as Business Warehouse (BW), SAP Analytics Cloud, or similar.
System testing, documentation, and troubleshooting PP-related issues.
Functional/Process Skills
Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning fundamentals, workflow optimization, and resource/capacity planning.
Ability to gather, translate, and document business requirements into SAP system specifications.
Project management skills for leading implementation or upgrade projects.
Soft Skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities for resolving production issues and improving operational efficiency.
Effective communication and collaboration with business users, IT staff, and project stakeholders.
Adaptability, willingness to pursue continuous learning, and openness to evolving SAP features and industry best practices.
Useful Additional Skills
SAP S/4HANA experience and cloud-based SAP solutions knowledge.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing, supply chain, and change management would be beneficial.
Experience in technical development (ABAP, Fiori, UI5) for custom solution design is a plus.
