SAP Integration Test Automation Engineer

You'll make a difference by:

Designing, developing and executing automated test solutions for SAP and non-SAP integrations, ensuring robust validation of API-driven interfaces, middleware transformations, and event-driven architectures. Activities to be performed include:Requirement analysis and design of test automation frameworks based on business requirements and architectural guidelines. Development and execution of automated tests for standard and custom APIs (OData, REST), including authentication, authorization, and error-handling scenarios. Test automation of SAP CPI/iFlows, including transformations, enrichments, and mappings, leveraging monitoring APIs for black-box testing. Implementation of reusable API test suites using Karate with CI/CD integration (GitLab). Validation of event-driven flows across SAP S/4, SAP APIM, AEM/Solace, Kafka, and downstream applications, ensuring message integrity, ordering, retries, and monitoring under load. Validation of data integrity before and after mappings to detect regressions. Collaborating with developers to design regression packs for each transport release and supporting E2E event validation using test queues/topics. Creation, execution, and maintenance of automated regression test packs for integration flows, ensuring traceability and continuous improvement. Preparation of relevant documentation (test plans, test scripts, and test execution reports). Ensuring integration of automated test solutions into the test management and CI/CD ecosystem within committed delivery timelines. Regular technical coordination and reporting to stakeholders with timely escalations if required.


Job Requirements/ Skills:3-8 years of work experience in Integration Test Automation, with strong expertise in SAP and non-SAP landscapes. Strong knowledge of SAP Integration Suite (CPI, Event Mesh) and SAP S/4HANA APIs (OData, REST). Proven experience in designing and executing automated test frameworks, with hands-on expertise in Karate (API testing, CI/CD integration). Experience with event-driven platforms (AEM/Solace, Kafka) and setting up test queues/topics. Good debugging skills, including hands-on usage of SAP transaction codes and monitoring tools. Experience in test planning, data management, and error simulation for integration flows. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitLab) for test automation integration. Must have strong analytical, debugging, and tracing skills, with a clear understanding of clean code and test design principles. Experience in performance testing of APIs and event-driven flows.


Nice-to-HaveKnowledge of GenAI tools (e.g., Copilot, AI agents) for test script generation and data preparation. Familiarity with EDI testing (IDocs, AIF, EDIFACT) and tools such as Int4 and Worksoft Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager for traceability and test management. Exposure to cloud technologies and containerized environments.
