Job role: SAP Global Trade Services Consultant

Rel. Experience: 5+ years

Location: Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Thane, Pune, New Delhi

Work Mode: Hybrid

Responsibilities:

Provide expert-level support and guidance on SAP GTS modules and processes. Implement and manage at least 1-2 full-cycle SAP GTS implementation projects. Lead and execute SAP GTS service upgrade projects successfully. Analyze business requirements and design scalable technical solutions that meet current needs while ensuring future upgrade compatibility. Gather application-specific requirements, participate in pre-project discussions with architects, and drive detailed SAP application design leveraging standard solutions wherever possible. Collaborate on project design, conduct design reviews, and deliver accurate specifications. Ensure high-quality technical deliverables, minimize defects, and oversee comprehensive System Integration Testing (SIT).

Core Expertise in SAP GTS:

Compliance Management:

Sanctioned party list screening, embargo checks, product classification, and legal control for export/import.

Customs Management:

Export/import customs declarations, inward processing, transit/presentation, bonded warehouse operations, electronic filing, and product classification.

Trade Preference Management:

End-to-end handling of trade preference processes.

Technical Skills & Knowledge:

Strong understanding of business processes and their mapping to SAP GTS technical areas. Ability to evaluate business requirements, identify global template changes, and translate them into functional specifications and technical designs. Hands-on experience with configuration settings in feeder systems (ECC/S4), including document types and master data. Basic ABAP debugging skills and ability to interact effectively with developers. Exposure to IDOCs, monitoring, and resolution of IDOC-related issues. Skilled in preparing test scripts and managing job monitoring, including troubleshooting job-related issues.
