POSITION DESCRIPTION KOHLER CO.

Position Title: Architect SAP GP

Department: IT

Location: Pune

ROLE SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced SAP (GP) Sr. Consultant/Architect to lead the design, optimization, and governance of SAP GP solutions across Supply Chain and Operations. The role requires deep functional expertise, strong architectural skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable SAP logistics solutions.


The candidate must have experience working with a global team as Kohler Co has plants in China, Thailand, India, North America, Brazil, EMEA and the UK. The candidate must be willing to manage and deliver a varied portfolio of tasks from simple configuration maintenance and end user support through to new process design. Compliance with Kohler best practices for project management is required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Define end-to-end SAP GP architecture Architect, design and build software solutions through development and/or configuration. Develop and monitor policies, procedures, and standards documents. Write and execute scripts to control the execution of systems.

Provide analysis, counsel, and direction to management and personnel of operating units to analyze problems and develop solutions, as well as ensure efficient operation of existing systems and programs. Maintain an understanding of business processes and the implications of computer systems on these processes.

Provide inputs for incident solution review meetings, including general design review, incident scheduling, test plan, system and program tactics and methods, system controls, procedures, documentation, and the fix or change implementation plan.

Design detailed system and program specifications. Develop system documentation and user procedures. Prepare test data. Coordinate/perform system and program testing. Coordinate/perform system and program implementation and modification. Research systems and programs to determine causes of failure or poor operational performance; then define, test, and implement detailed solutions.

Collaborate with the TcU / Model Based Manufacturing Teams to ensure theory is defined, functionality is fully vetted, integration is executed and information and processes are validated

Translate business requirements into IS/IT specifications, ensures completeness of system requirements and validates IS/IT architecture against requirements

Perform other related duties as assigned by the Team Manager/ Global Manager

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 10 years of experience in SAP MM/GP (functional only). (Do not consider domain experience) (Must Have)

Worked on at least 2 end-to-end implementation project & 2 roll-out project along with support. (Must Have)

Combined knowledge on SAP MM skill-set ((Must Have))

Hands-on SAP MM configuration experience with focus on MM functionalities Master Data (Material Vendor, info-records, source list, etc.), payment terms, pricing procedures, GR, IM etc (Must Have)

Expertise in SAP MRP (Material requirement planning) for purchase planning concept is a must for this role (Must Have)




Worked at STO's- intercompany & within company. (Must Have)

Knowledge on SAP MM tables, Functional modules, bapi's etc (Must Have)

Knowledge of core MM processes like P2P,GR PO, Contracts. (Must Have)

Experience in third party shipping system with SAP is an added advantage. (Preferred)
