Overview
The SAP Funds Management (FM) Consultant is a crucial role responsible for implementing and supporting SAP FM solutions, primarily within the public sector or organizations requiring robust budget control. This role focuses on configuring and maintaining the SAP FM module, ensuring it aligns with organizational budgetary requirements, integration with other SAP modules, and provides accurate and compliant financial reporting.
Responsibilities

• Collaborating with stakeholders to understand budget requirements and translating them into SAP FM configurations.
• Configuring and customizing the SAP FM module, including master data, budget structures, availability control, and derivation rules.
• Integrating SAP FM with other relevant SAP modules such as FI, CO, MM, and SD.
• Providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing system performance.
• Developing and maintaining documentation, including functional specifications, user guides, and training materials.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Accounting, or Information Technology.
• Proven experience in SAP FM configuration and implementation, typically 7-8+ years.
• Strong understanding of budgeting principles and financial management processes, particularly in the public sector.
• Experience with SAP FM master data, budget control, availability control, and derivation rules.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
