We are seeking an experienced

SAP Functional Lead - Sales & Distribution (SD)

to drive the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP SD solutions within our organization. The ideal candidate will bring deep functional expertise in SAP SD, hands-on experience with MM integration, and a strong understanding of India's indirect tax structure, e-invoicing, and statutory compliance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable SAP solutions that enhance operational efficiency and ensure compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Implementation

Lead the configuration, deployment, and enhancement of SAP SD processes in alignment with business objectives.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and translate functional requirements into effective SAP solutions.
Map existing business processes and recommend process improvements leveraging S/4HANA best practices.
Ensure seamless integration between SAP SD and MM modules for end-to-end supply chain efficiency.

E-Invoicing & Compliance Management

Implement and manage

e-invoicing and GST compliance

within the SAP ecosystem.
Configure tax procedures, pricing, and account determination relevant to local statutory requirements.
Work closely with middleware and ABAP teams to design, test, and support API integrations with government and third-party systems.

Technical Coordination & Integration

Review and validate RICEFW deliverables (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows).
Oversee IDoc configurations, interface management, and error handling for smooth data exchange.
Coordinate testing efforts including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Project Management & Support

Manage SAP SD-related change requests, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Prepare documentation including

Functional Specifications (FS)

,

Technical Specifications (TS)

, and

UAT scripts

.
Deliver training and mentorship to junior consultants and end-users to strengthen functional capabilities.
Present regular progress updates and project status reports to senior management.

What Makes You a Great Fit

You have strong functional expertise in

SAP SD

with exposure to

MM integration

You possess hands-on experience with

S/4HANA environments

and understand modern ERP architectures.
You are well-versed in

India localization, e-invoicing, and tax configuration (GST, TDS, etc.)

.
You have excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
You are detail-oriented, organized, and able to lead functional streams within complex projects.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.

6+ years

of experience in SAP functional roles, with at least

3 years in SD module leadership

Proven track record of SAP SD implementation and rollout projects in large enterprises.
Experience with

API integration

,

E-invoicing frameworks

, and

S/4HANA migrations

preferred.
Certification in SAP SD or S/4HANA is a strong advantage.
