SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) Consultant
for a leading global medical devices company to support the design, implementation, and optimization of warehouse processes within SAP S/4HANA landscapes. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, supply chain teams, and technical teams to deliver scalable, efficient, and compliant warehouse solutions.
The consultant will play a critical role in gathering requirements, designing solutions, configuring systems, testing, and providing go-live support, ensuring alignment with business operations and industry best practices.

Configure core EWM functionalities, including:
Inbound and outbound processing
Putaway and picking strategies
Warehouse structure, storage types, and stock types
Handling Unit (HU) management
Wave management and cross-docking
Yard Management (where applicable)
Translate business processes into
functional specifications
and configuration designs
Integration & Process Alignment
Integrate SAP EWM with:
SAP S/4HANA (Embedded or Decentralized EWM)
SAP TM, MM, SD, PP, and QM
External systems such as automation solutions, 3PLs, or legacy WMS
Ensure seamless
end-to-end warehouse execution
across the supply chain
Testing & Deployment
Plan and execute
unit testing, integration testing, and UAT support
Support data migration, cutover activities, and go-live readiness
Provide post-go-live hypercare and operational stabilization support
Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner with warehouse operations, supply chain teams, IT, and project leadership
Facilitate workshops, process validation sessions, and solution walkthroughs
Support change management, training, and user adoption initiatives
Documentation & Governance
Develop and maintain:
Functional Design Documents (FDDs)
Configuration and process documentation
Test scripts, training materials, and knowledge transfer artifacts
Ensure compliance with project governance, security standards, and audit requirements
(Embedded or Decentralized)
Strong understanding of warehouse and logistics operations
Experience with
SAP S/4HANA implementations or migrations
Proven experience integrating EWM with MM, SD, TM, and automation systems
Exposure to RF Framework, MFS, or Labor Management is an advantage
Technical & Process Skills
Strong capability to translate business requirements into scalable SAP solutions
Experience creating functional specifications and supporting development objects
Solid testing, defect resolution, and cutover experience
Understanding of master data dependencies and warehouse configuration design
Soft Skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to work independently in complex project environments
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
Comfortable working in Agile or Waterfall delivery models
Preferred Qualifications
SAP EWM Certification
Experience with global or multi-warehouse implementations
Exposure to regulated industries such as life sciences, manufacturing, or retail
Familiarity with SAP Best Practices and Fit-to-Standard methodology
