About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP Specialist with a strong
background in manufacturing operations to join our IT and ERP transformation
team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in end-to-end SAP
implementation, configuration, and support, with a deep understanding
of manufacturing processes, production planning, inventory, and supply chain
management.
This role demands both technical expertise and business process knowledge,
along with a stable track record of performance and long-term association in
previous roles.
Key Responsibilities
SAP Implementation & Configuration
₹ Lead and manage SAP modules relevant to manufacturing (such as SAP
MM, PP, SD, QM, FI/CO, or WM).
₹ Configure and customize SAP applications to align with business
processes in production, procurement, sales, and finance.
₹ Integrate SAP with other internal systems to ensure seamless data flow
across departments.
System Support & Enhancement
₹ Provide L2/L3 level support for SAP-related issues across plants and
corporate functions.
₹ Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical
solutions or enhancements.
₹ Ensure uptime, system stability, and timely resolution of user tickets.
Manufacturing Process Alignment
₹ Collaborate with plant heads, supply chain, and finance teams to
optimize workflows through SAP.
₹ Map business processes to SAP functionality ensuring operational
efficiency and process compliance.
₹ Support digital transformation initiatives and automation projects.
Reporting & Analytics
₹ Develop SAP-based dashboards and reports for business insights and
performance tracking.
₹ Use SAP Analytics, BI, or other reporting tools to enhance decision-
making across departments.
Project Management & Stakeholder Engagement
₹ Participate in full-cycle SAP implementation projects, including
requirement gathering, testing, and go-live support.
₹ Coordinate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and consultants for SAP
system upgrades and integrations.
₹ Train end-users and prepare system documentation, SOPs, and manuals.
Key Requirements
₹ Educational Qualification:
₹ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Computer Science / Information
Systems / Commerce; MBA or relevant certification preferred.
₹ Experience:
₹ Minimum 8 years of total experience in SAP environments.
₹ At least 5 years of continuous tenure in a single manufacturing
organization (mandatory).
₹ Hands-on experience with SAP MM, PP, SD, or FI/CO modules in
a discrete or process manufacturing setup.
₹ Exposure to SAP S/4HANA migration will be an added advantage.
₹ Technical Skills:
₹ Deep knowledge of SAP configuration, integration, and workflow
management.
₹ Proficiency in SQL, SAP Query, and Reporting Tools.
₹ Understanding of manufacturing ERP architecture and business
process mapping.
₹ Behavioral Competencies:

Preferred Background
₹ Candidates currently or previously employed with manufacturing or
industrial companies (Automotive, Heavy Engineering, Steel, Chemicals,
FMCG Manufacturing, etc.)
₹ Exposure to multi-location plant operations and ERP rollouts.
₹ SAP Certification (Module-Specific / S/4HANA) will be advantageous.
