SAP Commerce Cloud Lead - Architect (Relevant 6 to 8 Years)

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic SAP Commerce Cloud Lead/Architect to drive the technical vision and implementation of our enterprise-level eCommerce solutions. This is a high-impact role requiring deep technical expertise in SAP Hybris and strong client-facing leadership skills.

Job Summary & Responsibilities:


Serve as the primary technical resource with the client to gather business requirements, define solution architecture, and provide strategic technology leadership for SAP Commerce Cloud projects. Architect, design, and implement scalable and maintainable eCommerce solutions across B2B, B2C, and B2B2C models using SAP Commerce Cloud. Lead the development in frontend using spartacus and backend along with deployment of end-to-end SAP Commerce Cloud solutions, including integrations with SAP ERP, SAP CPI, SAP C4C, and third-party systems. Own the end-to-end architecture design process, ensuring solutions meet performance, scalability, security, and compliance standards. Guide development teams in implementing best practices related to coding, testing (unit, integration, system), and documentation. Manage deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes to support continuous integration and delivery in cloud and on-premise environments. Collaborate with DevOps, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure stable and secure production environments. Define and enforce architecture standards, technical governance, and development methodologies across digital commerce initiatives. Provide hands-on support in resolving complex technical issues, including performance tuning, integration failures, and production incidents. Participate in code reviews, solution walkthroughs, and architecture reviews to ensure quality and alignment with business goals. Lead and mentor cross-functional technology teams across development, QA, operations, and support. Support and manage operational excellence, including incident management, root cause analysis, and service improvements in a 24/7 digital commerce environment. Evaluate new technologies, tools, and services, and make recommendations to support innovation and continuous improvement. Partner with analytics and reporting teams to enable tracking, monitoring, and optimization of customer journeys and application performance.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

6+ years of hands-on experience in architecting and implementing enterprise-level commerce solutions using SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris). Proven experience in client-facing roles, gathering business requirements, and translating them into technical solutions. Strong experience with SAP integrations including SAP ERP (ECC or S/4HANA), SAP CPI, and SAP C4C. Solid understanding of deployment strategies, CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and DevOps practices. Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in Agile/Scrum environments with a focus on continuous delivery and operational excellence. Familiarity with observability tools, logging, and application performance monitoring frameworks. Strong knowledge of security best practices, regulatory compliance, and standards driven architecture. Excellent communication and presentation skills ability to effectively interact with business stakeholders, IT leadership, and development teams. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to drive resolution for complex technical issues. Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular with Material UI) is a plus. Exposure to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), incident management, and change management processes is highly desirable.
