They advise and provide assurance to Platform delivery teams in realising the target Platform architecture.Main Responsibilities

• Speciailises in a SAP BW HANA Platform area and dispenses the following duties:
• Architect, design, and implement SAP BW and SAP HANA-based data warehousing solutions to support business intelligence and reporting needs.
• Lead business stakeholders, data engineers, and IT teams to gather and translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Design and implement ETL processes, data modeling, and data governance frameworks for structured and unstructured data to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
• Ensure data security, access controls, and compliance within SAP BW and SAP HANA environments.
• Lead performance tuning and optimization by implementing best practices, indexing strategies, and data partitioning techniques in SAP analytics applications.
• Lead SAP Analytics migration / upgrade projects, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum performance gains.
• Drive adoption of advanced analytics capabilities (like AI / ML, etc) within the SAP ecosystem.
• Stay updated on SAP roadmap, new features, emerging technologies, and industry best practices strategizing for innovation and process improvements.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and training to SAP BI and analytics teams.

Skills / Knowledge / Experience

• 10+ years of experience in SAP BW, ABAP for BW, SAP HANA Native Modeling, Calculation Views, and SQL Script.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Proven experience in aligning Platform and modern solution architectures with broader Enterprise Architecture principles.
• Hands-on experience with performance tuning, data partitioning, and indexing strategies in SAP BW and HANA.
• Understanding of data security, authorization concepts in SAP analytics environments.
• Knowledge of cloud-based data architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid deployments.
• Experience of working on SAP BW on HANA 7.5 / Native HANA

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and SAP Data Intelligence.
• Familiarity with AI/ML integration and predictive analytics in SAP HANA.
• Proficiency in ABAP, Python, or SQL for advanced data processing.
• SAP certifications in SAP BW/4HANA or SAP HANA.
