Job Title: Senior SAP Business One (SAP B1) Engineer

Role Summary

We are seeking a hands-on

Senior SAP Business One Engineer

to manage, maintain, and enhance our SAP B1 environment. This role is central to ensuring ERP stability, performance, and scalability. You will translate business requirements into technical solutions, build and manage integrations, optimize databases, and serve as the technical backbone of our ERP landscape.

Key Responsibilities

SAP B1 Configuration & Customization

Design, configure, and customize SAP Business One solutions based on business requirements. Develop and maintain UDFs, Boyum IT automation scripts, and SQL-based data extracts. Implement enhancements to improve system efficiency, accuracy, and usability.

System Integrations

Build and manage integrations between SAP B1 and external systems such as CRM, eCommerce, and logistics platforms. Utilize B1iF, Service Layer, and API-based frameworks for seamless data exchange. Monitor and troubleshoot integration failures and data inconsistencies.

ERP Support & Optimization

Act as the primary technical escalation point for SAP B1 issues and system errors. Perform database performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization using MSSQL (T-SQL). Ensure data integrity, system reliability, and optimal performance.

Agile Delivery & Execution

Translate business user stories into technical solutions and deliverables. Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Provide accurate effort estimates and timelines for development and enhancement tasks.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

Work closely with the BI team on reporting and data-warehousing initiatives. Partner with external SAP consultants and vendors on specialized projects and rollouts. Support cross-functional teams to ensure ERP solutions align with business goals.

Required Skills & Experience

SAP Business One:

5+ years of deep technical, hands-on experience.

Boyum IT Add-ons:

Expert-level experience in configuration, scripting, and automation.

Database:

Strong expertise in MSSQL and advanced T-SQL development.

Integrations:

Proven experience with B1iF and/or API-based integrations.

Agile Ways of Working:

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.

Problem-Solving:

Strong troubleshooting mindset with the ability to resolve complex ERP and database issues.

Communication:

Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

SAP Business One certification. Experience supporting multi-country and multi-currency SAP B1 rollouts. Exposure to BI, data warehousing, and advanced reporting solutions.
