SAP Basis Consultant
Application operation team is responsible for managing applications throughout their lifecycle. It is also overseeing the execution and monitoring of the operational activities and events in the IT Infrastructure.
Tasks

• Planning of required activities to ensure the systems are in working parameters

• Keeping stakeholders up to date and in contact

• Preworks and reworks for activities like component upgrades, system refresh, release roll outs

• Transport management

• Change management & Incident management

• System monitoring

• Ensure compliance to process workflow and regulations

• Planning on all systems in the landscapes starting with the development system

• Inform Release Management and users about the downtime/activity

• Raise change request for SAP Basis to install the requested service packs

• Inform Dev team to be available for SAP modified objects

• Inform Test team to be available for tests

• SAP Basis performs the upgrade

• Dev team adjusts SAP standard modified objects

• AO checks: requested SP to be available, modified objects have been cleared, dumps, system logs, web services, clear caches, check jobs, applications to be running (TGA) etc

• Inform Test team to test the new functionality

• ServiceNow , Microsoft Azure DevOps
