Job Description

:

SAP ABAP Lead will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of custom SAP ABAP programs. This role involves managing a team of ABAP developers, coordinating with functional teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality technical solutions that align with business requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and experience in SAP projects, particularly in ECC to S/4HANA migrations/conversion.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:

Lead and mentor a team of SAP ABAP developers, providing technical guidance and support.
Assign tasks and manage the workload of the ABAP team to ensure timely delivery of projects.
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to SAP best practices and coding standards.

Development & Technical Design:

Analyze functional specifications provided by the SAP functional teams and translate them into technical specifications.
Design, develop, test, and implement custom SAP ABAP programs, including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms (RICEF), and workflows.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to custom ABAP developments.

Collaboration & Communication:

Work closely with SAP functional teams (FI/CO, SD, MM, PP, etc.) to understand business requirements and provide technical solutions.
Collaborate with other IT teams and business stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and alignment of custom developments with business processes.
Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and management.

Project Management:

Participate in project planning, estimation, and resource allocation.
Manage the technical aspects of SAP projects, ensuring that development timelines and quality standards are met.
Support SAP upgrades, patches, and migration projects, including ECC to S/4HANA conversions.

Typical Duties:

work related to the implementation, enhancement, and support of SAP modules; personally performs the more difficult system analysis and programming work of the team.
Plans, assigns, and supervises the work of an assigned team engaged in performing ABAP programming, design, testing, and debugging work for SAP modules to meet project needs, priorities, and deadlines.
Confers with management and functional teams to ensure the proper integration of business processes and procedures with information technology and to identify innovative customer solutions.
Defines highly complex technical requirements for ongoing systems maintenance and future functionality to meet requirements and improve system efficiency
Maintains effective and cooperative working relationships with process owners, functional and technical team members, and users.

Lead Project from ABAP side :
1. Migration/Conversion SAP ECC to SAP S/4 HANA
2. Grow With SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Implemenation
3. Rise With SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud - Greenfeild , Brownfeild , Bluefeild
4. BTP, or any SAP product
5. Third party integration with SAP Integration Suite
6.SAP SAC

Key Skills Required:

SAP ABAP programming tools including Report and Transaction creation, Enhancements, Conversion Programs, SAPscript,OOPs, ALV, Adobe Forms, SmartForms, Screen Painter BDC, LSMW, User Exits, Menu Exits, Function Exit, Screen Exit, ALV Reports, Dialog Programming, Data Dictionary, RFC, ABAP Query, ALE, BAPI, and BADI.
Application of OSS notes.
SAP ABAP programming for Web Dynpro.
Strong knowledge in OData Services .
Experience with BTP , SAP Fiori/UI5, CDS views, and OData services
Smartforms & Adobe forms development in S/4 HANA (Online and Offline scenarios).
Design and implement CDS and AMDP based on the business requirement.
Concepts and techniques of project management including project control, planning, estimating, resource management, and quality assurance.
Principles of program documentation.
Principles of report, screen, and form design.
Principles of supervision, team building, and training.
