We are looking for a motivated and technically sound SAP ABAP Developer to join our SAP Application Support team. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy working in production support environments, solving real-time business issues, and ensuring system stability while contributing to continuous improvements.



As part of the SAP Development and Support organization, you will work closely with functional consultants, business users, and cross-functional teams to support SAP applications, resolve incidents, and deliver minor enhancements. You will gain exposure to enterprise-scale SAP landscapes and contribute to reliable, high-quality SAP solutions.

Description

As an SAP ABAP Developer - Support, you will be responsible for L2/L3 application support, debugging and resolving technical issues, and maintaining custom SAP developments. You will handle incident tickets, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes and small enhancements while adhering to defined SLAs and ITIL processes.



You will collaborate with functional teams to understand issues, clarify requirements, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations of SAP systems. This role requires strong ABAP fundamentals, good analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced support environment.

Analyze, debug, and resolve incidents, defects, and service requests within SLA timelines.

Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent corrective solutions.

Develop and maintain ABAP objects including reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms.

Support and monitor background jobs, interfaces, IDocs, and batch processes.

Assist with minor enhancements and change requests as part of support activities.

Collaborate with functional consultants, Basis teams, and business users to resolve issues.

Manage and move transport requests across system landscapes following change management procedures.

Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and support knowledge articles.

Participate in on-call support or shift rotations as required.

Adhere to audit, compliance, and documentation standards.

Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to S/4HANA ABAP concepts (CDS Views, basic AMDP).

Experience working with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Remedy, or similar.

Knowledge of SPAU/SPDD, OSS Notes, and support pack activities.

Basic understanding of SAP UI5/Fiori or SAP BTP is a plus.

Prior experience in AMS or managed support projects.

SAP certifications such as ABAP on HANA are a plus.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

3-8 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development and support.

Strong experience with:

ABAP Reports (Classical / ALV)

Enhancements (User Exits, BADIs)

Forms (SmartForms / SAP Scripts / Adobe Forms)

Interfaces (IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs)

Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills in production environments.

Working knowledge of SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA systems.

Understanding of incident, problem, and change management processes.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
