We are a facility management / municipal service provider / sanitation services company committed to maintaining high cleanliness, hygiene and public-health standards in public/commercial spaces. We are looking for a proactive Sanitary Inspector to oversee cleaning operations, ensure compliance to sanitation rules, and maintain records of cleaning & inspection.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect cleaning, waste-disposal and sanitation operations in assigned area (grounds, buildings, public areas, drainage, sewers) to identify issues and recommend corrective actions.
Supervise cleaning crews, assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure timely completion of cleaning /maintenance schedules.
Ensure that sanitation procedures, cleaning frequencies, waste segregation, disposal methods meet company / municipal / health standards. (Role of sanitary inspector includes inspecting public and private facilities, roads, buildings.
Maintain records: inspection checklists, crew attendance, cleaning logbooks, work orders, incident reports.
Report to senior management/ health department on sanitation status, hazards, and suggestions for improvement.
Coordinate with other departments (maintenance, landscaping, waste-collection) and external agencies (municipality, health inspectors) if needed.
Provide training or orientation to cleaning staff about best practices (hygiene, safety, waste handling).
(Optional) Occasionally participate in or inspect special cleaning operations (deep-clean, pest control, drain cleaning).
Required Qualifications
High school (10th) or 12th pass; some roles may prefer diploma/ITI in relevant field.
1-2 years experience in cleaning / sanitation / facility management operations. For example, one listing required "1-2 years experience" for Sanitary Inspector at Ahmedabad.
Good knowledge of cleaning operations, waste handling, equipment usage.
Good communication skills (in Gujarat context: Gujarati, Hindi, basic English) so you can coordinate, inspect, report.
Ability to supervise a team, walk/inspect outdoor and indoor areas, moderate physical work.
Valid driver's licence may be preferred if job involves moving between sites.
Desired / Preferable
Prior experience as sanitary inspector in municipal / health department / facility management.
Familiarity with local municipal sanitation rules, health & hygiene standards.
Basic computer skills to maintain records (Excel, logbook software).
Leadership skills, ability to motivate crew, ensure quality standards.
Salary & Benefits
Salary range: e.g., ?14,000 to ?17,000/month (as per one listing in Ahmedabad).

Working hours: e.g., 7:00 am to 3:00 pm (or as per site) plus flexibility for special shifts if required.
