Job Title: Sample Preparation Specialist / Failure AnalysisLocation: Bengaluru

Come join a creative team dedicated to delivering professional solutions to a wide array of material and product related issues. We are part of a multi-functional team concentrating on development, characterization, and failure analysis of next generation materials and products. This role requires hands-on cross sectioning and planar polishing of samples for root cause failure analysis and in-depth characterizations using advanced analytical tools. You will provide polished samples and convey the results to people from multiple teams. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to be creative and to determine the best sample preparation approach for various materials and components. You should be an expert, hands-on sample prep person, have a strong background in polishing hard materials and have some practical knowledge of imaging tools



Technical Skills Requirements

Expertise with grinding, polishing, encapsulation techniques, optical microscopy and a range of sample preparation approaches for a variety of materials

Expertise in iterative planar polishing Ability to perceive device structures in three dimensions Data analysis and reporting abilities (i.e. Keynote or equivalent) Basic understanding of mechanical assemblies Past experience with argon ion milling is a plus Familiarity with SEM, EDS and FIB will be considered a plus
