Essential Job Functions:

• Translates business requirements into solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platform and various integrations.
• Act as the go-to Salesforce expert - providing Salesforce technical advice, design direction, and leadership to all team members to advance the project.
• Build, and configure applications that are highly functional, scalable, and easily maintained.
• Develop end-to-end Salesforce solutions including custom platform development (APEX, Triggers, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce) and external data integration (middleware tools, Salesforce APIs)
• Automate business processes using Salesforce automation tools, such as Process Builder, Workflows, Formulas, Flow, Assignment Rules, and email Alerts.
• Assist in the estimation of work effort, determination of required resources and schedule development.
• Participate in peer code reviews and unit testing.
• Provides application support by analyzing defects, replicating/fixing defects, and providing root cause analysis for defects. Troubleshoots and resolves functional and performance-related issues.
• Support post deployment activities including knowledge transfer, process documentation, and application bug fixes.

Solution Design & Deployment

• Lead the end-to-end design and deployment of Salesforce Field Service (FSL) tailored for gas field operations (e.g., emergency response, leak detection, maintenance, and compliance checks).
• Configure and customize FSL features including Service Territories, Operating Hours, Work Types, Skills, and Service Resources.
• Design and implement mobile-first solutions using FSL Mobile to support offline operations, GPS tracking, smart actions, and barcode scanning.
• Define and implement scheduling and optimization rules for resource allocation and dispatch using Scheduling Policies and Work Rules.
• Ensure seamless integration with backend systems like SAP via API or middleware.

Mobile Enablement & Offline Use Cases

• Configure and customize the Field Service Mobile App to enable offline functionality for field agents, especially in rural or non-connected areas.
• Design and implement Smart Actions, Custom LWCs, and workflows for mobile-specific use cases such as emergency reporting, asset inspection, and gas leak documentation.
• Ensure the mobile app supports digital signature capture, photo attachments, geolocation, and safety checklists.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 to 6 years of experience with Salesforce Declarative development using Process Builder, Workflows/omniScript/Flows, Lightning App Builder, etc. (Preferably in Service Cloud and FSL) modules
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with Salesforce platform programming languages - Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, APEX, SOQL, and SOSL.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with Web Application Development including JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
• Proven integration experience using integration techniques - REST, SOAP APIs, oAuth and Single Sign-On.
• Thorough understanding of Salesforce Deployment Process and tools.
• Experience with the agile software development.
• 5+ years of Salesforce experience with 1+ years in Field Service Lightning (FSL).
• Proven experience deploying FSL and FSL Mobile in Utilities / Gas / Energy industries.
• Strong understanding of Field Service data model, work order lifecycle, dispatching, and technician enablement.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with SAP.
• Hands-on experience in Salesforce configuration, Apex, Lightning Components, and Flows.
• Self-starter, problem-solver, and team collaborator
