Job Title: Salesforce Architect

Key Responsibilities :
1. Data & Solution Assessment
Evaluate the current Salesforce data architecture, including:
Object model (standard + custom objects)
Field-level definitions, relationships, and dependencies
Data quality, completeness, and normalization
Record lifecycle and gating-related data flows
Assess alignment of data structures with the SICM business processes (site selection, market development, power & energy coordination).
Identify gaps, risks, inconsistencies, and misalignment with intended user experience and gating workflows.
Review integration points with upstream/downstream systems where data dependencies exist.
2. Requirements Gathering & Business Alignment
Conduct focused sessions with VDC end-users to validate:
Data needs across persona types (Market Development, Site Selection, Power & Energy, Project Controls, etc.)
Adoption challenges related to data structures and record design
Expected visibility, transparency, and cross-team reporting requirements
Translate business requirements into clear, structured data requirements, including:
Object-level requirements
Field definitions and governance rules
User segmentation and visibility requirements
Data capture and update triggers aligned to gating milestones
Ensure the Salesforce data model supports accurate reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and milestone tracking.
3. Collaboration & Project Alignment
Work closely with the EVOCS SMEs to ensure the data model supports the broader SICM remediation strategy.
Partner with the Drivetrain PM team to validate requirements, user stories, and data dependencies.
Support alignment conversations with VDC to ensure business confidence in the revised data approach.
Participate in stakeholder workshops, process flow reviews, and validation sessions.
4. Documentation & Deliverables
Define and document User Stories related to data architecture, visibility, and record interactions.
Contribute to Level 1 3 Process Flow documentation and ArchiMate models in BizzDesign.
Produce high-quality documentation, including:
Data requirements matrix
Revised object/field model diagrams
Data governance recommendations
Mapping of data elements to gating framework checkpoints
Support the creation of the Remediation Roadmap with prioritized, actionable steps for stabilizing and optimizing the SICM data architecture.
Required Skills & Experience
Salesforce Expertise
5+ years of experience as a Salesforce Data Architect, Business Analyst, or Solution Architect with a strong data modeling focus.
Deep knowledge of Salesforce data architecture best practices, including:
Object modeling and schema design
Master-detail and lookup relationships
Record types, validation rules, flows, and triggers related to data processes
Data governance and security model (OWD, sharing rules, role hierarchy)
Experience building data models that support large, cross-functional enterprise processes.
Pre-Construction / Capital Project Domain Experience (Preferred)
Familiarity with workflows related to:
Site selection
Market development
Power & energy teaming
Gating framework processes
Experience supporting data models in capital construction, real estate development, or infrastructure businesses is a strong plus.
Analytical & Documentation Skills
Ability to conduct end-to-end data assessments, identify risks, and articulate findings.
Strong capability in developing user stories, requirements documentation, and system-to-process mappings.
Comfortable creating process flow diagrams (L1 L3) using tools such as Lucidchart, BizzDesign, or Visio.
Collaboration & Communication
Experience collaborating with project managers, system integrators, and business stakeholders.
Ability to translate technical data concepts into business-aligned deliverables.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to lead workshops and facilitate alignment discussions.
Preferred Certifications
Salesforce Certified Data Architect
Salesforce Certified Application Architect
Salesforce Certified Administrator or Advanced Administrator
Any BizzDesign or TOGAF/ArchiMate certification is a plus
