Design and deliver sales training programs tailored to GT & MT channel needs.
Develop onboarding training modules for new sales hires, including field induction plans.
Conduct regular refresher training sessions to improve product knowledge, soft skills, and sales capabilities.
2. On-Field Coaching & Market Development
Accompany sales team in the market for
on-field coaching
.
Provide hands-on guidance on retail execution, sales pitch, objection handling, and visibility standards.
Support sales reps in achieving KPIs like outlet coverage, order generation, and merchandising compliance.
3. Performance Tracking & Evaluation
Assess training effectiveness through performance metrics and on-ground execution.
Identify skill gaps through field observations and address them with targeted training.
Share monthly training effectiveness reports with relevant stakeholders.
4. Channel-Specific Focus
GT:
Focus on distribution build-up, range selling, secondary sales, retailer engagement, visibility execution, and beat planning.
MT:
Emphasize planogram adherence, in-store promotions, promoter effectiveness, and relationships with key accounts/store managers.
5. Content Development
Create relevant and engaging training content (presentations, videos, manuals, SOPs).
Customize content for regional teams based on market maturity and brand focus.
6. Team Development
Conduct Train-the-Trainer sessions for field supervisors or area sales managers.
Drive a culture of coaching and learning within the field force.
7. Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with ZSMs, ASMs, and Trade Marketing to align training initiatives with business goals.
Coordinate with HR for training calendars, feedback mechanisms, and performance appraisals.
8. Behavioral & Soft Skills Training
Deliver sessions on communication, negotiation, time management, customer handling, and team collaboration.
Promote a sales mindset and motivation among field staff.
9. Compliance & SOP Adherence
Ensure field teams understand and follow sales processes, reporting systems, and compliance standards.
Preferred Profile:
4-7 years of experience (
FMCG
or
Beverage
industry)
Educational Qualification:
Graduate
(MBA preferred)
Trainers with prior
sales experience
who are now actively training teams on-ground will be an added advantage
