Sales Trainer - Key Responsibility Areas (KRA)
1. Training Program Development
Design structured training modules for product knowledge (curtains, blinds, rugs, mattresses, flooring, wall coverings, bed linen, etc.).
Create sales technique modules - prospecting, need analysis, upselling, cross-selling, closing skills.
Develop role-specific training for Store Managers, Sales Executives, ASMs, and CRM staff.
Update modules regularly based on new product launches, seasonal campaigns (e.g., Casa di Carnival), or changing customer trends.

2. Delivery of Training
Conduct induction training for new hires.
Deliver ongoing sales training workshops (monthly/quarterly).
Lead on-floor coaching: observe live customer interactions and provide feedback.
Use role-plays, simulations, and case studies for practical learning.
Ensure uniformity of selling skills and brand communication across all stores and franchisees.

3. Product Knowledge & Brand Alignment
Ensure all sales staff can confidently explain USP, composition, pricing, and positioning of each product.
Train staff on Skipper's brand storytelling (heritage, craftsmanship, collaborations like Jaipur Rugs, Sarita Handa).
Prepare concise training aids (catalogues, videos, PPTs, cheat sheets) for sales teams.

4. Performance Monitoring & Evaluation
Conduct pre- and post-training assessments to measure learning outcomes.
Track store-level sales KPIs (conversion %, average ticket size, category contribution).
Work with ASMs and HO team to identify skill gaps and prepare focused interventions.
Submit monthly training effectiveness reports to management.

5. Sales Enablement
Develop pitch scripts and customer interaction templates.
Train sales teams on CRM tools, lead management systems, and follow-up processes.
Support special campaigns/events (e.g., exhibitions, design showcases) with pre-event briefing sessions.
Build negotiation and objection handling frameworks for premium customers.

6. Franchisee Support
Standardize sales training protocols across franchise stores.
Conduct train-the-trainer sessions for local franchise managers.
Audit franchisee sales teams' customer interactions and report gaps to HO.

7. Continuous Improvement
Stay updated on latest sales trends in luxury retail and furnishings.
Benchmark competitor practices and integrate learnings into training.
Regularly collect feedback from trainees and managers for improvement.
Innovate with digital training formats (short videos, WhatsApp micro-learning, AI-based simulations).
