The Team Leader will oversee daily operations of the apparel store, ensuring sales targets are met, high standards of customer service are maintained, and the team is motivated and performing efficiently. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in apparel retail and strong leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management & Leadership
Supervise, guide, and mentor store staff to achieve sales and performance goals.
Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills.
Assign duties and monitor performance, ensuring accountability.
Sales & Target Achievement
Drive sales through effective merchandising, customer engagement, and promotional strategies.
Analyze sales reports and implement corrective actions to meet or exceed targets.
Support visual merchandising to maintain brand standards and store aesthetics.
Customer Service Excellence
Ensure high-quality customer service by addressing complaints, resolving issues promptly, and fostering a positive shopping experience.
Build long-term relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
Operational & Administrative Duties
Maintain inventory accuracy, manage stock levels, and coordinate with the purchase team.
Ensure adherence to cash handling procedures, billing, and store policies.
Monitor store cleanliness, safety, and compliance with company standards.
Reporting & Communication
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on sales, stock, and staff performance.
Communicate effectively with management regarding operational challenges and team performance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in apparel retail, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or team leader role.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Good understanding of retail operations, merchandising, and customer service.
Ability to motivate teams and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in basic computer applications (Excel, POS systems).
