Job Title: Team Lead - Certification Sales (Inside Sales - Upgrade Desk) Location: Bangalore Department: Sales / Inside Sales Reporting To: Sales Manager / Business Head Role Overview: The Team Lead - Certification Sales will manage a team responsible for upgrading existing learners to advanced or premium certification programs. The role requires strong leadership, sales acumen, and an ability to drive performance while ensuring a high-quality customer experience. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership & Management o Lead, mentor, and guide a team of Inside Sales Executives. o Set daily/weekly targets and ensure achievement of revenue goals. o Conduct training, performance evaluations, and feedback sessions. o Drive a positive, motivated, and target-oriented team culture. Sales Strategy & Execution o Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell certification upgrades. o Ensure the team follows structured sales and follow-up processes. o Improve conversion ratios through objection handling and value-based selling. o Collaborate with product, academic, and marketing teams for updated insights. Customer Relationship & Escalation Handling o Ensure smooth and high-quality customer interactions at all stages. o Resolve escalations effectively and ensure learner satisfaction. o Maintain ongoing communication with learners to support their upgrade journey. Reporting & Process Management o Track and report daily sales performance, funnel movement, and revenue forecasts. o Ensure accurate data entry and workflow management in CRM systems. o Optimize processes to improve productivity and conversion rates. Required Skills & Qualifications: o Graduate in any discipline (MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred). o 3-6 years of experience in Inside Sales / EdTech / B2C Consultative Sales. o Minimum 1-2 years of experience managing or mentoring a sales team. o Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. o Experience working with CRM tools and sales metrics dashboards. o Target-driven mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
