- Sales Senior Engineer
Department: Sales - CSD
Reporting To: Senior Manager - Sales (CSD) / Director.
Unit Name / Location: Kusauto India Private Limited, Chennai.
Role Purpose:- The Sales Senior Engineer will be responsible for preparing sales reports, monitoring inventory, tracking forecasts against dispatches, coordinating internally with cross-functional teams, and interfacing with customers in the South region. The role will ensure timely and accurate data sharing, smooth dispatch operations and achievement of the company's sales and forecast commitments.
Key Responsibilities:-
1. Reporting & Data Management
Prepare internal reports (SO, DOC-Centre, GRN, sales data) on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Share reports on time for review with the Senior Manager before presentation to the Director.
Prepare and maintain the monthly forecast sheet (R0 & R1) with SO numbers and quantities.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness in all submissions and data communication.
2. Inventory & Forecast Management
Monitor inventory levels regularly through SAP to avoid shortages or excess.
Provide data support for quick decision-making on inventory adjustments.
Track and report daily forecast versus actual dispatches, highlighting deviations.
Share weekly forecast vs. dispatch status for all customers.
3. Customer Coordination & Business Interface
Serve as the key interface with buyers from the South region for all order- and dispatch-related matters.
Follow up with customers on vehicle readiness, scope, and related requirements to ensure smooth dispatch.
Support HQ discussions regarding customer purchase orders, pricing matters, and new customer code creation.
4. Cross-functional Coordination
Coordinate internally with PMC and Logistics teams for parts readiness, vehicle readiness, and pending activities.
Maintain alignment on delivery schedules through daily discussions.
Provide transparent daily updates to the reporting manager--no pending updates.
5. Strategic Contribution
Jointly work with the Senior Manager to achieve 100% of customer forecast commitments (Taylor's forecast and others).
Identify operational gaps and actively propose solutions to improve sales and dispatch performance.
6. Competencies & Skills
Strong knowledge of sales operations, dispatch planning, and inventory management systems (SAP preferred).
Proficiency in MS Excel and report preparation.
Good communication and coordination skills for effective internal and external interactions.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet strict timelines.
Problem-solving and analytical mindset.
7. Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Business Administration (or related).
3-6 years of experience in Sales / CSD/ Dispatch Planning / SCM coordination within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
Prior experience with customer interface and SAP environment preferred.
May be required to travel customer's end.
