1. Position Overview
The Sales Representative will be responsible for managing and expanding business with government departments, public sector units (PSUs), municipal bodies, educational institutions, and other state/central government agencies. The candidate must be experienced in government procurement processes and capable of promoting the company's electrical products, securing orders, and building long-term relationships.
2. Key Responsibilities
Government Sales & Business Development
Generate sales leads within government departments and ensure consistent follow-ups.
Present electrical products cables, wires, switchgear, lights to engineers, procurement officers, and department heads.
Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials and decision-makers.
Conduct regular visits to departments to understand ongoing and upcoming requirements.
Ensure after-sales support, complaint resolution, and timely delivery coordination.
Sales Targets & Reporting
Achieve monthly and annual sales targets for government business.
Maintain daily visit reports, sales forecasting, and tender tracking reports.
Provide regular market updates, competitor analysis, and pricing feedback.
3. Required Skills & Competencies
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to build trust and long-term relationships with government stakeholders.
Knowledge of electrical products and technical specifications (preferred).
Proficiency in MS Office, e-procurement systems, and documentation.
4. Qualifications
Graduate in any discipline (B.Tech in Electrical or Diploma preferred).
1-5 years of experience in government or institutional sales.
Experience in electrical product sales will be an added advantage.
Must possess a valid driving license and willingness to travel.
