Job Purpose
To achieve sales targets, ensure product visibility, and build strong customer relationships in the General Trade (GT) segment by managing distributors and retailers in the assigned territory (Chennai & Thiruvallur).
Key Responsibilities
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for General Trade.
Expand product distribution and ensure availability at retail outlets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers.
Execute trade promotions, schemes, and visibility drives in the market.
Ensure timely collection of payments and maintain credit discipline.
Monitor competitor activities and provide market intelligence reports.
Regularly track stock levels with distributors to avoid stock-outs or excess inventory.
Prepare daily/weekly sales reports and update management on performance.
Ensure compliance with company policies and ethical sales practices.
Qualification & Experience
Graduate in any discipline (MBA/PG in Marketing preferred).
1-3 years of experience in FMCG / Food & Beverages sales (General Trade).
Skills & Competencies
Strong communication & negotiation skills.
Good understanding of FMCG sales & distribution.
Proficiency in MS Office / Sales reporting tools.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of Chennai & Thiruvallur General Trade market is a must.
