The Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and achieving sales targets by promoting the company's products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and approach potential customers through field visits, cold calling, networking, and referrals.
Promote and explain the features, benefits, and applications of the company's products (PVC, HDPE, UPVC, SWR, Sprinkler Pipes & Fittings).
Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, dealers, distributors, and end customers.
Prepare and deliver sales presentations, quotations, and proposals to clients.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets as set by the management.
Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular reports on market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
Ensure timely collection of payments from clients.
Coordinate with internal teams (production, dispatch, accounts) to ensure smooth execution of orders.
Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to promote the company brand.
Maintain proper documentation of sales visits, leads, and customer interactions.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Customer-oriented with the ability to build long-term relationships.
Self-motivated, result-driven, and target-focused.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM tools (if any).
Familiarity with the pipes and fittings industry (preferred but not mandatory).
Qualifications & Experience:
Graduate in Business/Marketing/Engineering or related field.
1-3 years of experience in sales (preferably in building materials, construction, or pipes industry).
Freshers with strong communication and willingness to learn may also be considered.
Own two-wheeler and valid driving license (preferred for field sales roles).
