Key Roles and Responsibilities of a Sales Representative

Finding New Customers (Lead Generation)

Identify potential clients through calls, visits, networking, and online research.

Contacting and Meeting Clients

Make sales calls, schedule meetings, and present products or services to customers.

Understanding Customer Needs

Listen to customers and suggest suitable products or solutions.

Product Knowledge

Have strong knowledge of the company's products, prices, and offers.

Negotiation and Closing Sales

Handle objections, negotiate prices, and close deals successfully.

Maintaining Customer Relationships

Build long-term relationships to ensure repeat business.

Achieving Sales Targets

Work towards monthly and yearly sales goals.

Market Research

Collect information about competitors, pricing, and market trends.

Preparing Reports

Submit daily/weekly sales reports to the manager.

After-Sales Support

Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and solve any issues.
