The Petroleum Products Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business and managing existing client relationships to drive sales of various petroleum products. The ideal candidate must have a deep understanding of the industry, strong sales skills, and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development:
Identify and prospect for new customers, including businesses, distributors, and industrial clients. This involve cold calling, networking, and attending industry events.
Client Management:
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
Sales Strategy:
Analyze market trends and competitor activities to develop effective sales strategies and achieve sales goals.
Product Knowledge:
Possess a thorough understanding of the petroleum products being sold (e.g., gasoline, diesel fuel, lubricants) and their specific applications.
Presentations and Negotiations:
Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to potential clients, negotiate contracts, and close sales deals.
Reporting:
Track sales progress, maintain accurate customer records, and prepare regular performance reports.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is required or preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 0-4 years of proven sales experience, preferably within the petroleum or a related industry.
Skills:
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strong understanding of the petroleum industry and market dynamics.
Ability to work independently and manage a sales territory.
Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Problem-solving and analytical skills.
