The FMCG Sales Promoter is responsible for driving the sales of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) by engaging with customers at retail locations, stores, and other point-of-sale environments. They promote the company's FMCG products, create brand awareness, increase product visibility, and encourage purchases through effective demonstrations, customer interaction, and promotional activities. This role is essential in ensuring that FMCG products are well-represented and that customer needs are met in a fast-paced, competitive market.
Key Responsibilities
Product Promotion and Demonstrations
:Actively promote FMCG products (such as food, beverages, personal care, home care, and health products) to consumers through in-store promotions and product demonstrations.
Highlight key features, benefits, and unique selling points of the products to customers.
Conduct tastings, samples, and demos to encourage trial and purchase.
Customer Interaction
:Engage with customers to understand their needs and preferences and provide them with information on relevant FMCG products.
Offer expert guidance on product usage, benefits, and differentiators.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to foster brand loyalty and repeat purchases.
Sales Target Achievement
:Meet and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) as set by the Sales Manager or Area Sales Manager.
Monitor sales performance, track promotional activities, and report results on a regular basis.
Focus on increasing product turnover and ensuring optimal stock levels at retail locations.
Market Intelligence and Reporting
:Collect valuable feedback from customers regarding product preferences, pricing, and competitor products.
Report market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to management to inform sales strategies.
Provide insights on product demand, customer purchasing behavior, and new opportunities.
Merchandising and Display
:Ensure FMCG products are effectively displayed on shelves, counters, and other promotional spaces according to company standards.
Maintain a clean, attractive, and organized presentation of products at the point of sale to attract customers.
Ensure adequate stock levels are maintained and manage any stock shortages or overstock situations.
In-Store Promotions and Events
:Coordinate and execute promotional campaigns, in-store activations, and events to increase product visibility and sales.
Set up and manage product displays, demos, and sales events within designated retail locations.
Work closely with retail staff to ensure the smooth running of promotions and provide training where necessary.
Customer Service Excellence
:Provide exceptional customer service by addressing concerns, answering questions, and resolving issues promptly.
Ensure customers have a positive shopping experience and are well-informed about the FMCG products they are considering.
Skills & Qualifications
Education
:Any Graduate.
Experience
:2-3 years of experience in in FMCG sales & marketing.
Skills
:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to engage customers and demonstrate products effectively.
Strong persuasion and negotiation skills.
Basic computer literacy and knowledge of CRM systems is a plus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
