Job Description

Job Purpose:

To generate project-based sales for aluminium roofing sheets by identifying and acquiring new customers, managing key accounts, and liaising with architects, builders, contractors, and consultants in the Chennai region. This role focuses on project sales in industrial, commercial, and institutional sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Sales Development:

Identify upcoming and ongoing industrial/commercial/infrastructure projects in Chennai and surrounding regions. Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers - architects, builders, contractors, consultants, and government agencies.

Customer Acquisition & Management:

Generate leads and convert them into business opportunities. Develop new business and maintain relationships with existing clients for repeat business and referrals.

Sales & Target Achievement:

Meet or exceed assigned sales targets for aluminium roofing sheets. Ensure timely collection of payments and manage commercial negotiations effectively.

Market Intelligence:

Monitor competitor activities, pricing trends, and customer preferences. Provide market feedback to product and management teams.

Technical Support:

Understand and explain product specifications, application methods, and technical benefits to clients. Coordinate with the technical team for customized solutions as per project requirements.

Reporting & Documentation:

Maintain up-to-date records of leads, sales, project pipelines, and client communications in CRM or sales tools. Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports for management review.

Key Requirements:

Education:

Graduate in any discipline; MBA in Marketing preferred.

Experience:

2-5 years in project sales, preferably in roofing materials, building materials, or construction industry.

Skills:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of the Chennai construction ecosystem Self-driven, target-oriented Negotiation and analytical abilities Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools

Languages:

Fluent in English and Tamil

Preferred Industry Experience:

Aluminium Roofing Sheets Steel / Metal Products Building Materials Construction Chemicals / Hardware PEB (Pre-Engineered Buildings)
