We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Officer / Senior Sales Officer to join the Construction Chemicals Division of a leading industry client based in Patna. This role is pivotal in expanding market presence, driving sales growth, and strengthening dealer networks across the region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for strategic market penetration, performance monitoring, and fostering strong dealer relationships while ensuring product availability, brand visibility, and profitability. With a focus on channel development and promotional execution, this position plays a key role in achieving organizational sales targets and enhancing market share in a competitive landscape.
Responsibilities:

  • Identify and onboard new dealers to deepen market reach and expand market share.
  • Analyze current sales performance against prior-year benchmarks and implement targeted sales initiatives to meet growth objectives.
  • Monitor and oversee product sales activities to drive volume and value growth across assigned territories.
  • Support dealers in achieving sales targets through regular training, guidance, and performance tracking.
  • Ensure timely and effective seeding of new products through the appropriate distribution channels.
  • Maintain optimal SKU availability at key retail outlets and distribution points.
  • Develop and execute sales promotion programs to strengthen brand positioning and market presence.
  • Ensure dealer profitability in alignment with company policies and long-term business goals.
  • Prepare comprehensive monthly territory reports, including competitor activity analysis and market trends.
  • Conduct retail audits to evaluate market potential, assess competitor sales performance, and refine go-to-market strategies.
  • Resolve dealer-related issues promptly to maintain smooth and productive business relationships.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in B.Tech/B.E. (any specialization), B.Sc (any), or B.Com (Commerce).
  • Postgraduate qualification in MBA/PGDM (any specialization) or a Diploma in Marketing Management.
  • 4-6 years of proven experience in channel sales, preferably within the construction chemicals, cement, tile adhesive, or plywood industry.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, sales planning, and dealer management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and driven with a strong sales orientation and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Local candidate from Patna preferred.
  • Proficiency in using sales tools and reporting systems for territory monitoring and performance tracking.
Preferred Experience:
  • Prior exposure with leading brands in the construction materials sector such as cement, tile adhesives, or plywood companies.
