Job Description

A Car Sales Officer is responsible for promoting and selling new or pre-owned vehicles to customers. The role involves understanding customer needs, presenting suitable options, explaining vehicle features and financing plans, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.

Key Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers in the showroom or lot and understand their vehicle requirements. Present and demonstrate vehicles, highlighting features, benefits, and performance. Conduct test drives and ensure safety protocols are followed. Provide accurate information on pricing, financing options, warranties, and after-sales services. Negotiate terms and conditions to close sales while meeting dealership pricing and profit guidelines. Prepare sales paperwork, contracts, loan applications, and registration documents. Follow up with leads via phone, email, or messaging to convert prospects into customers. Maintain knowledge of current inventory, promotions, and industry trends. Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets set by the dealership. Ensure high customer satisfaction through excellent service and support post-sale. Maintain showroom appearance and ensure vehicles are clean and display-ready.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience in automotive sales or a customer-facing sales role (preferred). Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to understand customer needs and match them with the right vehicle. Basic knowledge of financing, insurance, and payment plans. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Valid driver's license. Ability to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required.
