Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and customer-focused Gold Loan Officer to manage the sales and operations of gold loan products. The role includes customer handling, gold appraisal, loan disbursement, takeover of gold loans from other institutions, and collections--ensuring smooth branch operations and compliance with internal and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Handling & Sales

Attend walk-in customers and explain gold loan features, eligibility, interest rates, and terms.

Identify potential customers and generate new leads through field visits, references, and marketing activities.

Handle Gold Loan Takeover by identifying customers with existing loans in other NBFCs/Banks and converting them with competitive offers.

Educate customers on benefits of transferring existing gold loans to our institution (lower rates, better service, flexible terms).

Gold Appraisal & Loan Processing

Conduct accurate gold valuation using proper tools and standards.

Verify KYC documents and ensure proper loan documentation.

Process loan applications and ensure timely disbursement.

Takeover Activities

Maintain relationships with local market influencers to identify takeover opportunities.

Ensure proper documentation during takeover, including NOC, foreclosure statements, and gold verification.

Coordinate with the branch and central teams for smooth gold transfer and system entry.

Operations & Compliance.

Maintain proper records of all gold loan transactions.

Ensure vault management and gold security as per audit standards.

Comply with company policies, audit procedures, and RBI guidelines.

Follow-up & Collection

Follow up with customers for interest payments, renewals, and closures.

Support the recovery and collection team for overdue or default accounts.

Key Skills & Requirements:

Minimum: Graduates is Must.

1-3 years of experience in Gold Loan or Financial Services.

Familiarity with Gold Loan Takeover process.

Knowledge of local market, gold appraisal, and documentation.

Good communication skills in the local language and basic English.

Self-motivated, trustworthy, and customer service oriented.
