offline GT footprint in Gurgaon
, followed by adjacent NCR markets, through disciplined execution, strong dealer relationships, and sustainable sell-through.
Role Summary
The
Sales Officer - General Trade (Offline)
will be responsible for building and scaling HiLEDER's
offline GT business
, with
Gurgaon as the top-priority market
and adjacent NCR clusters developed in a phased manner.
The role requires a
hands-on field operator
with strong understanding of
leather fashion retail
, capable of working in a
hybrid distribution model
(distributor-led in some clusters and direct dealer billing in others).
The core mandate is to drive
profitable secondary sales
, ensure healthy inventory rotation, expand assortment presence, and build a strong base of repeat-ordering dealers -- not just push primary billing.
Key Responsibilities
:
1. General Trade Sales & Sustainable Growth - Core Mandate
Drive offline GT expansion for HiLEDER with
Gurgaon as the primary focus market.
Achieve consistent secondary sales growth through disciplined dealer activation and replenishment.
Build a healthy base of active and repeat-ordering dealers across leather and lifestyle retail formats.
Ensure growth is sustainable, inventory-led, and margin-aligned -- not scheme-driven or push-based.
2. Distribution & Dealer Network Expansion
Appoint, onboard, and manage
GT distributors
in assigned NCR clusters where applicable.
Drive
direct dealer onboarding in Gurgaon
, especially in high-potential leather, bag, travel, and lifestyle stores.
Expand numeric distribution selectively, ensuring each outlet is relevant for mass-premium genuine leather products.
Maintain distributor and dealer discipline on ordering cycles, credit exposure, and stock rotation.
Support seasonal demand cycles including:
o Festive periods
o Wedding and gifting seasons
o Travel season demand
Execute new product and category launches in existing and new outlets.
Ensure basic in-store execution and display hygiene across active dealers.
Coordinate
selective visual merchandising
initiatives for high-potential stores, where required.
6. Market Intelligence & Competitive Tracking
Track competing leather and lifestyle brands on:
o Pricing and margins
o Assortment strategies
o Dealer engagement models
Share regular market feedback, retailer insights, and competitive intelligence with management.
Candidate ProfileExperience & Background:
2-5 years of experience in leather fashion, lifestyle, accessories, or premium consumer goods GT.
Strong on-ground familiarity with Gurgaon GT markets; NCR exposure preferred.
Experience working with distributor-led and/or direct dealer billing models.
Proven ability to build dealer networks and drive repeat secondary sales.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of offline retail dynamics in leather and lifestyle categories.
High field orientation with
60-70% market working
expected.
Commercial awareness of margins, credit norms, inventory risk, and sell-through.
Relationship-led selling mindset with ability to manage premium retailers.
Education:
Graduate - mandatory
MBA - preferred (not mandatory)
