Role Overview
The Sales & Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing new customers, managing existing OEM/Tier-2 accounts, and executing marketing strategies for automotive components. The role involves strong technical understanding, commercial negotiation, and coordination with production, quality, and design teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development
Identify and develop new business opportunities with
Conduct competitor analysis and market mapping to build a strategic customer pipeline.
2. Customer Relationship Management
Manage existing customer accounts, ensuring timely service, delivery, and quality support.
Regular visits to OEM & Tier-2 customers for RFQs, project updates, and technical discussions.
Build strong long-term relationships with purchase, quality, and engineering teams.
3. Sales Operations
Handle RFQ to order conversion: costing, pricing, quotation preparation, negotiation & finalization.
Track sales targets, revenue forecasts, and order booking plans.
Prepare monthly sales MIS, dashboards, and performance reports.
4. Marketing Activities
Promote company capabilities through presentations, brochures, exhibitions, and digital marketing.
Analyze market trends and customer requirements to develop new product strategies.
Support branding activities and online presence enhancements.
5. Project & Cross-Functional Coordination
Coordinate with
production, quality, design, and planning
teams for NPD/sample development.
Monitor PPAP, APQP, IATF documentation process with internal teams.
Ensure smooth project launch and on-time customer sample approvals.
6. Commercial & Contract Management
Negotiate costings, MOQs, delivery terms, payment terms, and annual rate contracts.
Manage customer complaints (8D, CAPA) with internal quality team.
Monitor receivables and ensure timely payments.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of
automotive components
, machining, forging, sheet-metal, CNC, nitriding, etc.
Good understanding of
IATF 16949
, APQP, PPAP, and automotive documentation.
Excellent communication, presentation & negotiation skills.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Strong analytical and market research skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, CRM tools).
Qualification
B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile/Production Engineering.
MBA in Marketing (preferred but not mandatory).
Salary Range
As per experience & industry standards.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ?40,000.00 - ?80,000.00 per month
