Job Purpose
- Lead sales and marketing efforts to drive revenue growth, expand distribution, strengthen brand presence and ensure profitable market share for wires & cables across assigned territories and customer segments (retail, OEMs, contractors, EPCs, industrial).
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement yearly and quarterly sales plans aligned with business targets and capacity constraints.
- Own territory/channel sales performance; set targets for distributors, dealers, and direct sales teams.
- Manage key accounts (EPCs, contractors, institutional buyers, large distributors) and negotiate major contracts.
- Monitor order book, pipeline, forecasts and ensure timely replenishment and production prioritization.
Channel & Distributor Management
- Recruit, train and motivate distributor/dealer networks; define margin structures, credit terms and sales incentives.
- Implement distributor scorecards, performance reviews and corrective action plans.
- Drive channel initiatives: co-op promotions, channel loyalty programs, seasonal schemes and bulk-contractor pricing.
Product & Pricing
- Define product-mix and SKUs for target segments (domestic, industrial, HT/LT, instrumentation, solar cables).
- Set pricing strategy, discounts, rebates and margin protection policies in coordination with finance.
- Coordinate product launches, SKU rationalization and new product development feedback loop with production/R&D.
Marketing & Brand Building
- Build brand identity and go-to-market messaging for trade and end-customer segments.
- Plan and execute trade shows, local marketing, digital campaigns, content, product brochures and technical collaterals.
- Manage digital presence (website, social media), lead generation funnels and CRM-driven nurture programs.
Demand Generation & Trade Support
- Develop campaigns for contractors, electricians, and builders; provide technical training, demo kits and specification support.
- Drive specification wins with architects, consultants and EPCs through technical presentations and sample programs.
- Coordinate with logistics/warehouse to ensure availability for campaigns and promotions.
Customer Service & After-Sales
- Oversee order escalation handling, warranty/claim resolution process and feedback loop to quality/production teams.
- Ensure customer satisfaction metrics are tracked and improved.
Data, Reporting & Systems
- Maintain CRM hygiene, pipeline management and sales analytics (monthly/weekly dashboards).
- Track KPIs: sales vs target, market share, distributor fill rate, DSO, order turnaround, complaint resolution time.
- Use market intelligence to recommend product/price/territory adjustments.
Finance & Compliance
- Work with finance on credit approvals, collections strategy and gross margin improvement.
- Ensure all sales activities comply with statutory, tax and industry regulations.
People Management
- Coach and develop internal sales team and marketing resources; set targets and conduct performance reviews.
- Hire sales field staff and define roles/territories as needed.
