Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue growth for educational books and related products.
Manage and expand the distribution network across regions - including dealers, distributors, institutional clients, and school networks.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including school management, educators, and channel partners.
Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to refine sales tactics and marketing plans.
Plan and execute promotional campaigns, product launches, and participation in educational events/exhibitions.
Work closely with product development and editorial teams to align market feedback with product improvements.
Prepare regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and strategic insights for senior management.
Ensure timely collection of payments and manage credit cycles effectively.
Lead, mentor, and manage a small sales team to achieve KPIs and targets.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (preferably in Business, Marketing, or Education); MBA preferred.
8-10 years of proven experience in sales and marketing within the educational publishing industry.
Strong network of distributors, schools, and institutional buyers.
Deep understanding of the school curriculum (CBSE, ICSE, and State Boards) and market demand.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to travel extensively for business development and client meetings.
Self-motivated, result-oriented, and strategic thinker with a hands-on approach.
