Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Sales Executive to promote and sell our range of scientific and laboratory instruments. The role involves direct engagement with research and academic laboratories, government institutions (such as ICAR, ICMR, CSIR, IITs, Universities, etc.), and authorized dealers. You will be responsible for driving sales, managing key accounts, and ensuring customer satisfaction through a consultative sales approach.
Key Responsibilities
Visit research labs and institutions to promote our scientific instruments
Engage with key stakeholders such as scientists, lab managers, purchase officers, and decision-makers in government organizations
Develop new business opportunities via cold calls, field visits, and networking
Maintain updated knowledge of product features and technical specifications
Tailor sales strategies to match specific customer requirements and buying behavior
Leverage GeM (Government e-Marketplace) for government procurement opportunities
Build and maintain relationships with local dealers and agents
Manage pricing discussions and financial negotiations with customers
Follow up with the production team for timely order fulfilment
Ensure timely follow-ups for payments and customer satisfaction
Use CRM tools to update and track leads, opportunities, and sales progress
Represent the company with professionalism and integrity at all customer interactions

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English (written and spoken)
Strong understanding of the government procurement process and institutional buying cycle
Resilience and adaptability -- handles rejection and obstacles with a solution-oriented approach
Ability to build trust and rapport with academic and research professionals
Willingness and ability to travel extensively across India as required
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science, Engineering, Biotechnology, or related fields
Prior experience in selling laboratory instruments or scientific equipment
Working knowledge of GeM portal and experience with institutional sales in government sector
Familiarity with CRM tools and sales reporting.
