The Marketing Executive will play a key role in business development, client interaction, event coordination, and tender submissions in the Events & Exhibitions sector. The role demands strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills with a clear understanding of event execution processes and government tender protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Client Interaction & Relationship Management
Engage with existing and prospective clients to understand requirements.
Build long-term relationships and ensure client satisfaction.
Present company credentials, design concepts, and proposals.
Event Monitoring & Coordination
Assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring event execution.
Ensure smooth coordination between clients, design teams, vendors, and site execution teams.
Support onsite inspections and provide regular updates to management.
Marketing & Business Development
Prepare and maintain an Events Calendar for upcoming exhibitions, trade shows, and promotional opportunities.
Identify and pursue new business leads and event participation opportunities.
Design & BOQ Understanding
Interpret event designs, layouts, and technical drawings.
Understand Bill of Quantities (BOQ) to support accurate costing.
Liaise with the design team to ensure client requirements are reflected in proposals.
Proposal & Tender Preparation
Prepare detailed quotes, proposals, and cost estimates for clients.
Compile and submit tender documents including technical and financial bids.
Coordinate with internal departments to gather required documents for government agency tender submissions.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain an updated repository of company documents (licenses, certifications, work orders, past performance records) required for tenders.
Ensure compliance with submission deadlines and requirements.
Market Research & Analysis
Track industry trends, competitor activities, and upcoming opportunities.
Provide insights for marketing strategies and pricing decisions.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with tender portals.
Ability to understand designs, layouts, and BOQ.
Good coordination, multitasking, and follow-up skills.
Knowledge of government procurement and tendering processes (preferred).
Negotiation and client relationship-building abilities.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Marketing / Business Administration / Event Management or related field.
2-4 years of experience in Events, Exhibitions, or Marketing roles (freshers with strong aptitude may also be considered).
Exposure to government tendering processes will be an added advantage
