The Sales & Marketing Executive (Agro Sales) is responsible for driving sales growth of agricultural products such as seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and related inputs. The role involves promoting products to farmers, agri-dealers, and distributors, building long-term relationships, organizing marketing campaigns, and ensuring overall business development in the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities:1. Sales & Business Development
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for agro-products.
Identify and onboard new dealers, distributors, and retail partners.
Conduct field visits to promote products and ensure product availability in rural markets.
Expand market reach by identifying potential villages and new agricultural areas.
2. Marketing & Promotion
Plan and execute farmer meetings, product demonstrations, and field days.
Distribute promotional materials like leaflets, banners, and posters.
Participate in agricultural fairs and exhibitions to enhance brand visibility.
Support new product launches through targeted marketing activities.
3. Customer Relationship Management
Develop and maintain strong relationships with farmers, distributors, and retailers.
Provide after-sales support and address customer queries.
Gather feedback to understand product performance and customer needs.
4. Market Research & Analysis
Study competitor activities, pricing strategies, and new product trends.
Analyze soil, crop, and climate conditions to promote suitable products.
Prepare reports on market potential and recommend sales strategies.
5. Reporting & Coordination
Maintain daily sales reports, collection records, and stock updates.
Coordinate with logistics and supply teams for smooth product delivery.
Share field insights with marketing and product development teams.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
B.Sc. (Agriculture) / M.Sc. (Agriculture) / BBA or MBA (Marketing)
Experience:
1-3 years of experience in agrochemical, seed, or fertilizer sales preferred.
Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Knowledge of crops, farming practices, and rural markets
Negotiation and persuasion ability
Proficiency in MS Office and report preparation
Willingness to travel extensively in rural areas
